Unheard Enjoyment collective elevates Charleston’s hip-hop scene

Collaboration is crucial for the users of Unheard Leisure, a hip-hop collective founded by rapper Nu, a growing star in the nearby scene. The group makes displays spotlighting dynamic artists, supporting to foster a perception of local community as perfectly as deliver broader recognition to the talent that exists in Charleston’s hip-hop.

Unheard Leisure started organizing demonstrates previous summer months and is built up of formal members Nu, Ben Beam, Chemi$t, Mos Stef, Matt Graham, Cam Big, SmxkeDoji, Winslow and Elijah.

“Nu is the workhorse. … He is the organized a person,” reported member Ben Beam, a producer and artist who publications exhibits for the team.

“We shift as a unit,” he said. “I consider that’s why it works. Everyone is ready to choose on no matter what position they need to.”

Unheard Ent. has a stacked calendar of displays scheduled at community venues like the Purple Buffalo and LO-Fi Brewing this summer season. On Aug. 5, the collective will current The Unheard Practical experience Reloaded at The Royal American, featuring artists Trim S.O.U.L., Toni Esther, Krystal, Indi Gxld, Semkari and Rekyndl.
