Responses from the “girls” on expanding up with the amusement and video games of their times long gone-by continue:
Frances Tajmajer
Frances, who I believe that resides in New Britain as someone two a long time more mature than I, grew up in East Haven and wrote that “We girls played with dolls, jumped rope, experienced tea get-togethers, and did all the issues boys did. We even experienced a basketball hoop in the yard, but we didn’t use it in East Haven, mainly because children in East Haven did not play basketball.

Dorene, who I haven’t tracked down as much as her city of home goes, wrote a lengthy e-mail and I shared section of it final week. Here’s the 2nd segment:
“We girls also spent pleasant hrs listening to 78 RPM data, which we performed on the Victrola.
