Songs local community mourns decline of longtime Anderson County trainer, director

A longtime educator and tunes director has died. Lane Moore, of Anderson, died Wednesday.Moore taught band and chorus at Pendleton Substantial University for 19 years.He then became the choral director at Dorman Significant College right until his retirement in 2010.He was named trainer of the 12 months at both of those educational institutions.Moore served as tunes director at Zion UMC, Mauldin UMC, Clemson UMC and John Knox Presbyterian Church for 53 years, according to his obituary.He also served as the accompanist for the Foothills Chorale.Brad Williams was a college student of Moore’s at Dorman Large School. “Mr. Moore had a way of realizing who we had been and what we were being able of ahead of we did.
