Forget Henry Cavill – and forget Michael B Jordan – because there’s a new Man of Steel in town. Yes, John Krasinski is set to make his Worlds of DC debut as Superman next year in DC League of Super-Pets.
In casting news we never knew we needed, The Office US favourite John Krasinski has confirmed that he will voice Superman in the upcoming animated movie starring the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Keanu Reeves, and Kevin Hart.
Following the movie’s announcement earlier this year, Krasinski broke the thrilling news on Twitter, telling fans that his dreams of starring alongside The Rock had finally come true.

As well as posting a sneak peek of Superman and his dog Krypto (played by Johnson) in action, the Quiet Place star wrote: “Always wanted to do a buddy movie with @TheRock. Well, these are the roles we were born to play! (FYI… DJ’s the one with the tongue)”.
There’s no word yet on who Reeves will be voicing, but Johnson’s Jumanji co-star Kevin Hart will play the role of Ace the Bat-hound.

Johnson first revealed the upcoming DC League of Super-Pets in the summer, promising comic-book fans that the “hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change”.
