Mobile, Ala. (WKRG) — The yearly Fairhope Arts and Crafts Pageant returns to downtown for its Platinum Jubilee, with foodstuff, songs, gatherings for young children, and, of class, great artwork from area, condition and nationwide artists.
The City of Fairhope, Downtown Merchants, and Eastern Shore Artwork Centre will welcome 200 artists from all across the United States. The festival celebrates 70 yrs of artwork because the inception of the concept in 1953.
The present will start Friday, March 18, and will finish Sunday, March 20. The competition will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is absolutely free to the community. This year’s pageant will feature Jo Patton, an award-successful artist who paints from her household studio in Fairhope. “Her pageant artwork showcases an afternoon just before a Jubilee, a all-natural phenomenon that takes place on the Jap Shore of Mobile Bay,” according to the festival web site. “Inspired by Fairhope’s all-natural splendor of the bay with the old piers, and families, Jo Patton captures moments that make memories under no circumstances to be neglected.”
