Entertainment Highlights, April 5: Hrithik Roshan-Saba Azad at airport, Ranbir-Alia’s wedding date out

In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Randeep Hooda opened up on his knee injury for the first time. He stated, “Couldn’t wait to get back to movie sets after the knee set back. Everything happens for the best and all that pain is hopefully turning into art.”

Kriti Sanon, who is having interesting movies in the kitty, will be juggling between the shooting of Shehzada and Ganapath. Talking about the same, a source close to Kriti stated, “She will be shooting a small schedule of Ganapath in Mumbai for the next few days before she jets off to Mauritius for the shoot of Shehzada, on April 11. Post Mauritius, she gets into Ganapath again, so Kriti will be constantly hopping between the sets of these 2 film shoots for the whole of the next 2 months”.

As Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are set to tie the knot next week, there have been speculations about the celebs attending his much talked about wedding. According to a report published in India Today, celebs like Ayan Mukerji, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anushka Ranjan, Kareena Kapoor Khan etc will be a part of Ranbir-Alia’s D-Day

Pinkvilla, a few hours ago, informed you exclusively that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding functions kick off on April 13 and will go on till April 17. Now, as per India Today, the wedding reception guest list is also out and names like Deepika Padukone, and Shah Rukh Khan are in it too. 

Ahead of the release of Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur starrer Dasvi, the makers have unveiled a new track from the movie titled as Dasvi. Sung by Mellow D, Kirti Sagathia & Sachin-Jigar, it happens to be a trippy dance number.

In a recent update in an alleged misbehaviour case against Salman Khan, the Bombay High court has stayed the summons issued to the actor by a civil court till May 5. 

As Yash is looking forward to the release of the much awaited KGF: Chapter 2, he was seen promoting the movie with co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in the city today.

Shahid Kapoor is looking forward to the release of Jersey and he is leaving no stone unturned to promote his movie. Recently, he shared a series of monochromatic pics on social media wherein he was beaming with joy and his swag was unmatched. Later, his brother Ishaan Khatter took to the comment section of Shahid’s post and wrote, “Proper handsome”.

Hrithik Roshan and his rumoured GF Saba Azad were snapped walking hand in hand at the Mumbai airport today as they arrived back in town. 

Sunny Kaushal in a recent interview spoke about the conversations he has with Vicky and Katrina at home. He stated that no special conversations take place between them. “You know because, at the end of the day, you are sitting, and it’s like two humans talking. It’s just normal conversations, day-to-day life. There’s nothing special that is going on.” The actor also revealed that he misses his brother Vicky now that he has shifted with Katrina. “It does not feel like he has shifted because we are so much in touch anyway. So, nothing has changed.”

Janhvi Kapoor choses comfort over style as she was spotted in the city today. She wore white coloured hoodie over her white shorts and white sneakers. 

A source close to Pinkvilla while spilling details about Ranbir and Alia’s big day said, “The wedding is taking place in April. The wedding festivities will take place from April 13 – 17. During this period, the sangeet and mehendi ceremonies are scheduled as well.” Members close to the Kapoor and Bhatt families have been asked to keep themselves free during this period. While talking about Alia’s outfits during the celebrations, the source further added, “Alia will wear Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi outfits for her wedding celebration.” While the couple’s wedding will be a family affair, the couple will throw a reception party for their industry friends at the end of April. 

Shahid Kapoor in an interview revealed that performing alongside his dad was intimidating for him. He added that only if you try to compete it is intimidating otherwise there is so much to learn from their experience. The actor further explained that If you stand in the frame with somebody and if he is giving you some energy and if you feel the heat of that energy and respond with a similar kind of honesty and in an organic manner, that’s how great stuff happens. And according to Shahid, such things happen when he shares the screen space with his dad. Shahid Kapoor also revealed, “It was easier to act with him than to have him as a director. It was much more relaxed. We used to get time to chill and have a cup of coffee together in between shots.”

Salman as well as his bodyguard Nawaz Shaikh have been summoned over a complaint filed by a journalist in 2019. The incident took place when Salman Khan was riding a cycle on the streets of Mumbai and was photographed by the media. However, the actor reportedly got into a heated argument with the media personnel and snatched away the journalist’s mobile phone.

According to a latest report in Etimes, in order to meet the release deadline, Salman Khan has moved Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’s shoot closer to his Panvel farmhouse. The actor’s home, which is located a couple of hours from the city, has been his haven even during the lockdown. As per the report, the sets of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali which were being built at the Film City helipad in Mumbai’s suburbs were dismantled and the location was shifted close to Salman’s Panvel home.  

A source known to India Today revealed that all his closest friends including Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Ayan Mukerji will be attending Ranbir’s bachelor’s party. “Ranbir is extremely close to Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ayan Mukerji. The actor is planning a bachelor’s party at his place. It will be attended by his close buddies from the world of showbiz and his childhood friends. This is Ranbir’s way of throwing an impromptu bachelor’s party,” the source said.
