It was only yesterday that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married. The social media has been filled with the wedding pictures of the couple and they have taken the internet by quite a storm. We bet fans have not been able to take their eyes off the lovely couple. A lot of their family and friends have been sharing their pictures on Instagram and just now the sister of the bride, Shaheen Bhatt shared a fresh picture of the newlyweds. 

One of the fans wanted to know when will they get to see Salman Khan vs Sanjay Dutt in a movie? Another fan also asked when will Sanju play a deadly villain like Adheera in a film opposite the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor? To this, the PK actor replied, “Oh yeah! I mean agar aisa kuch aayega to bilkul karenge but salman mera bhai hai chota, uske sath maine saajan, chal mere bhai jaisi picturein ki hai…abhi uske sath villain banke…ab pata nahi…lekin kaam zaroor karunga. (If something like this comes up then definitely. But, Salman is my younger brother and I have done films like Saajan, Chal Mere Bhai with him…To play a villain with him…I don’t know…but I will definitely work with him). 

In a recent chat with ETimes, Alia Bhatt’s half-brother said that his father Mahesh Bhatt had ‘suddenly became a film director’ at his daughter’s wedding and it felt like he was directing a film. He attributed this to both the Kapoors and the Bhatts being iconic film families of Bollywood.

In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Pandit Rajesh Sharma, who got Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt married on April 14th revealed that the Barfi actor wanted all the rituals to be explained at his nuptials. Further, he added that the newlyweds took seven vows right from being each other’s closest friends to having a healthy child.

Ranbir Kapoor, who married Alia Bhatt on April 14th paid a tribute to his late father Rishi Kapoor on his wedding day in the most special way as he wore his dad’s expensive watch which is reportedly priced at Rs 21 lakh. Check it out:

Dolly Jain, who drapped Alia Bhatt’s Sabyasachi ivory and organza saree for her wedding with Ranbir Kapoor revealed that she was nervous about her nuptials. Dolly also shared that she only took about five to seven minutes to drape it on the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress for her D-Day.

The goldsmith named Dev Verma who bought jewellery stolen from Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s Delhi residence was arrested by Delhi Police in Kalkaji on Thursday. They have also recovered the stolen jewellery from his possession worth Rs 1 crore.

Alia Bhatt made for an ethereal looking bride as she donned shades of ivory and gold on her wedding day. The actress opted for a starkly different mehendi from the usual bridal mehendi. Pinkvilla has now learnt that Alia Bhatt’s minimal bridal mehendi was done by Mumbai-based celeb artist Jyoti Chedda. However, the mehendi idea was purely the bride’s choice and vision. 

Pinkvilla got in touch with celeb Kaleera designer Mrinalini Chandra, who designed Alia’s fun yet beautiful kaleeras, to understand what was the process like. She revealed that Alia wanted small and delicate kaleeras. 

While we are yet to get a good look and find out where Ranbir’s name was included in Alia’s bridal mehendi, Ranbir flaunted his love for the actress. On his right palm, in the center, Ranbir wrote Alia’s name right in the middle of a heart. 

On Friday, Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni gave a glimpse of the actual ‘tying of the knot’ ceremony which is also known as ‘Gatbandhan’. This Hindu wedding ritual symbolises the union of the bride and the groom in a sacramental bond for the rest of their lives. Take a look: 

A day after Alia and Ranbir had tied the knot, Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram to share a picture with her son. She adorably wrote, “This is dedicated to kapoor Saab your wish has has been fulfilled.”

Neetu Kapoor was all hearts for her saree artist Dolly Jain who draped her in the stunning piece for Ranbir and Alia’s Mehendi ceremony. In the video, Neetu can be seen thanking Dolly for making her feel comfortable in the outfit. “Dolly, you are outstanding. I didn’t even know there was something like this there. I feel like a princess. I feel so comfortable. I don’t have to (worry) idhar kuch hoga, udhar kuch hoga. Aise ekdum makhan jaise aapne mujhe dress kiya hai na.. I love you,” said Neetu with a big smile.  

The mehendi ceremony was a minimal one. Apart from Alia Bhatt and Neetu Kapoor, all the other guests opted for minimal designs on their either their palms or feet. However, the cutest one was sported by Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt, who wrote his daughter’s name as well as his son-in-law’s name on his palms. Take a look:
